The vision
In the Philippines, access to ethical, affordable credit remains a challenge especially for blue-collar workers. SAVii set out to change that. By offering salary-linked financial services through employers, their vision was to replace exploitative lending with dignified, structured financial wellness covering not just loans, but education, insurance, and support.
The challenge
SAVii had a strong mission and product-market fit, but struggled with adoption, trust, and retention. The team needed a product-first design partner to help elevate every layer—from UI and product flows to communication and growth strategy.
The solution
Over a multi-year engagement, we became SAVii’s strategic design team—supporting everything from foundational UX, and rapid-growth experiments, to marketing roadmap. We redesigned flows, built new offerings, collaborated on product strategy, and used data-driven insights to help SAVii acquire, retain, and support their users with clarity and confidence.

Driving Retention Through Refinance & Reloan
We used data to identify the right moment to nudge users toward a second loan. By mapping communication and eligibility touchpoints into the existing loan journey, we helped increase repeat borrowing—ethically and effectively—while staying ahead of competitors.

Quick Loans, Launched Fast
To counter rising pressure from faster-moving competitors, we helped SAVii design and launch a quick loan product tailored for urgent financial needs. We gave it a distinct identity, designed trust-building touchpoints, and ensured it integrated seamlessly into the platform. It met urgent user needs without losing the brand’s voice or values—and helped SAVii stay ahead, not just catch up.

Smarter Referrals, Grounded in Data
Referral flows were underperforming. We audited user behavior, validated hypotheses with product data, and redesigned the entire referral journey—from visual design to eligibility messaging—improving visibility and conversion.

Trusted, Embedded, and Driving Growth
As SAVii’s ongoing design partner, we helped shape not just what the product looked like, but what it could become. Working closely with their product and data teams, we co-led strategy, identified opportunities, tested fast, and iterated often to drive growth.
Our role ran so deep, we started showing up on their org charts as the Design Team—and even found ourselves at company retreats, lanyards and all! In 2024, SAVii was acquired by one of Southeast Asia’s largest banks—a milestone that reflected just how far the product, and our partnership, had come.
