The vision
Most consultancies run on decks, spreadsheets, and expert judgment. AI introduced new possibilities to the industry - and new expectations from their clients. TheAX.ai is a product built to help consultancies keep pace: not by replacing expert judgment, but by building tools that free consultants to spend more time where they add the most value.
The challenge
Structuring a firm’s IP for AI was not the hard part. The real challenge was designing an experience where consultants could control what the AI does, see how it uses their knowledge, and move seamlessly between tools. TheAX knew adoption would hinge on this, not on just AI, but on a product that worked the way consultants do.

Our work with the AX.ai focused on three key areas: making knowledge usable by AI, ensuring transparency and control in AI interactions, and bringing the entire toolset into a seamless experience.

Unlocking scalable value from expert IP
Consultants weren’t struggling to create knowledge, they were struggling to structure it in ways AI could use without losing fidelity. We redesigned Knowledge Books to make this simple and reliable.
Guided templates helped consultants turn expertise into models and frameworks that AI could draw from, while preview tools showed exactly how content would appear in outputs.
Robust versioning ensured firms could manage their IP with confidence essential for scaling its use across clients and projects.


Designing AI consultants can trust - and control
We designed interactions to make AI feel like an assistant not a black box. Every output clearly showed its source content, giving consultants full visibility.
Controls were built into every flow, allowing users to fine-tune tone, depth, and format before sharing with clients. And each AI tool was intentionally scoped and positioned, so users always knew when and how to use it.


Turning an evolving toolset into one seamless experience
As TheAX.ai expanded beyond Knowledge Books into Diagnostics, Chat, and Benchmarks, the risk of fragmentation grew. We designed a unified UX framework and design system to tie everything together.
Navigation, search, and interaction patterns now feel consistent across the platform, helping users move fluidly between tools. This coherence has been key to driving adoption as users experience TheAX.ai as one integrated product, not a collection of features.
